Summary of the biography of Professor Davood Jafari
Davood Jafari was born in 1970 in Tehran, Iran. He became interested in reciting the Quran at the age of eight when he came across a cassette tape of the Quran. Since then, he started attending Quran sessions with teachers in Tehran. In 1984, Jafari achieved the first rank among students nationwide in Iran. From 1984 to 2001, he participated in various competitions at the national level in different categories and consistently secured first to third positions in Quran competitions throughout the country.

In 2001, as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jafari participated in international Quran competitions in India, where 40 Islamic countries such as Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, India, and other nations took part. He won the first place in the global competition. In 2002, he was recognized as the top reciter of the year in the Islamic Republic of Iran and was honored by President Mohammad Khatami.

Davood Jafari pursued his education in Tehran and obtained a master's degree. He has been sent to numerous countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe to promote the Quran. He serves as the official reciter for Iranian television. Since 1994, Jafari has been selected as a teacher and judge for national and provincial Quran competitions. In 2012, he was appointed as the head coach for the teams representing Iran in Quran competitions and provided professional recitation training to the country's elites. Seventeen of his students have achieved first place in various international competitions, which is a remarkable record for a Quran teacher.

Since 1998, Davood Jafari has designed competitions exclusively for Quranic elites in Iran, allowing only the qualified individuals to participate.

Jafari has been recognized as a prominent theorist and critic in Iran. In 2018, he voiced his criticism towards Quranic activities carried out by managers and Quranic organizations, which led to the support and collaboration of over 4000 individuals, including teachers, scholars, reciters, and memorizers of the Quran. With the establishment of various sessions and the formation of a central council, Jafari was able to bring about changes in the field of Quran and Quranic propagation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As a designer and theorist, Davood Jafari successfully designed and launched his own Quranic festival. His festival, "Majlesi Recitations Festival," quickly gained popularity among enthusiasts and became known as the most prestigious Quranic festival in the Islamic Republic of Iran, with strong support from the public. Over 8 million people in Iran are familiar with this festival, and each year, between 2 to 3.5 million individuals participate in it. Almost all official and unofficial news agencies provide coverage of this festival, which takes place in 300 cities and 31 provinces across Iran.

The festival includes the selection of the best reciter of the year, the best Quran memorizer of the year, the best Quranic chanter of the year, the best Quranic youth of the year, and the best Quranic woman of the year in the Islamic Republic of Iran, all chosen by the people through the Fajr Quranic Festival. This festival is a result of the efforts and dedication of Davood Jafari.

Davood Jafari has gained recognition from influential figures in the Quranic community of Iran, as well as Quranic officials such as the head of the Endowment Organization, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and Quranic scholars. His efforts have resulted in the Majlesi Recitations Festival and the Mawrume Quranic Festivals in Iran.

He has also had the honor of reciting the Quran in the presence of esteemed Egyptian Quranic scholars, including Sheikh Ahmed Muhammad Basiony, Sheikh Shihab Muhammad Anwar, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Ahmed Naeenaa, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Fattah Tarouti, Sheikh Anwar Muhammad Shihab, Sheikh Helbawi, Sheikh Ahmed Amer, and other prominent Quranic scholars.
